Looking for software capable of flipping LR output on just one single application

I'm trying to figure out if there is a software that can swap the left and right output from only a single application - One of the games I play has a more-often-than-not glitch that makes left and right audio come out of the wrong side, and nothing in the game's audio settings touches it, not even rebooting my computer. The game is just nearly-permanently stuck in a state of playing the audio on the wrong side. I don't even care if it introduces a fraction of a second of audio delay, because hearing something coming from my left side a fraction of a second later than normal is better than hearing an approaching-from-left opponent at the correct time, but on the wrong side.

The answer is no, but you could contrive a switching system in the speaker leads that would do what you want. So DIY is your only option.

I don't really understand any of the jargon here - I'm just using a USB headset I got off amazon. Either way, looks like I'm screwed lol. ig i'll have to try other USB ports and see if that changes anything

Why did you not say you were using headphones? That gives you an easy fix. You just turn your headphones round!

But that's not a fix, and I don't find this response funny. That's also not going to only affect one app. Literally doesn't solve the issue whatsoever and thus your response only serves as false condescension.

Where's the step where I choose what application this applies for? I don't want to swap all of the sound on my entire machine, just the sound for one single application, while leaving everything else alone.

It was not meant to be funny, but a simple costless fix. I assume it is not changing from right to left in the same program. My headphones reverse easily and are just as comfortable which ever way you wear them. By the way, I have never encountered your problem before of having left and right reversed, so I don't know what junk sources you are using. If that happend to me, I would label those sources junk and inadequate.

It actually DOES solve the probem for that app, but if the cups/drivers are angled to fit right & left differently, comfort may not be part of this.

Flip them back for the rest of the apps. Why spend money when it's not really necessary?

Agreed, we don't know if his phones are reversible, but mine are. But as I say, I have never encountered this problem in 70 years of audio.

That won't work, and you won't find such an app. The best you could do is to change the setting before running the game, and change it again after

No, not a gamer. I suppose the issue is that his headphones may not just be headphones but one of these systems that has visual functionality. This is all something I have never been into.

Why don't you contact the app writers, then?

Not explaining the exact situation on your end makes solving it impossible from our end. This isn't a gaming forum, although some here are involved in it.

The trouble is, that his guy gave the most minimal information on his system and so we could not really assist him.
