Sounds like you made a good find, autoboy! Happy listening. The hunt is half the journey in this hobby...and it sure is fun. Eh?! :)
Yeah, you guys are really killing me here. I just keep reading more stuff and now I realize need a new sub for my family room. It is an old B&W 12" from 1996 that only goes down to 35hz. I always thought it was ok until I read your reviews and found out what I was missing. My wife is gonna kill me especially when I shake the pictures off the walls with my new SVS PB12-NSD! Good thing I don't have kids yet. I have to hurry and get my bass while I still can.

I found you guys while searching around for HDMI cables. I couldn't find any cheap cables at any of my local stores and then I found you guys also hated all the snake oil. The cables are digital! Who needs a $200 cable especially with a digital signal!

Here is an update to people who might read this

The audio from the Sony TV is full of noise. It works ok for low level listening but when I turn it up for 24 I get a bunch I hiss. I tracked it to the Sony output. I'll be looking for an easy way to set up a receiver. Besides the hiss, this setup works really well and is very simple to use. I don't suggest you spend a bunch of $ on the speakers like I did if you plan on this kind of setup.
