Hey guys, I'm looking to replace my front speakers. Right now I have Cerwin Vega RE-30s, had them for about 7-8 years. I have a Polk monitor CS2 center, and 4 Polk monitor 30s for surrounds, and a JBL PB10 subwoofer. All speakers are powered by an Onkyo TX-SR702 receiver. How do the RE-30s match up to the rest of the system, and what would be a good replacement for them? My budget is up to $1000. I listen mostly to HT in a room that is 19.5' X 12.5' X 8'. Thanks for any advice and opinions.

Can't say how well the CVs should pair up with the Polks. But if you're really looking to make a change I'd stick with the Polk theme since you've already started. The CS2 has 6.5" drivers so I would stick with that size for your L/Rs and go with the RTi8s. You should be able to get these for $700 or less. Eventually you should also upgrade the JBL sub which seems rather anemic for your space. An SVS PB-10 would work well, a PB-12 even better.
