this is my first post, iv been reading the forums for a few days and really like the site. a little about me im 46 an electrician by trade and a woodworker for fun.
over the years i have had numerous stereos but nothing i would consider hi end, except for the fisher i had many years a go with the tubes.
the last stereo i purchased was a 5.1 channel jbl system from cosco about 8 years a go and is what i currently have now. last year i purchased a pair of bostons T1000-II from a fella for 100 bucks that was going thru a divorce, at the time i thought they where fairly new because of the looks of them till i looked them up on the website and found that they where early 90's product line. i did have to replace one of the woofers but other then that they look and sound great as far as i can tell. a few weeks ago i purchased a new center channel from parts express.
today i just purchased a RXV-659 to replace the JBL box.
so once i get the new yamaha ill really
know how this all sounds together. as of now i may just stick with the three speakers and slowly add some rears and so on.
so if you have any input it would be much appreaciated.
thanks
Dom
