Already read both of those before my last post, but thanks. In my eyes they look pretty close to each other in reviews..? Would like to know if some one have compared them in person and how they liked them. And would like to know does 1500x benefit from down firing configuration?
As for firing configuration, it should make no difference unless your crossing over @ 120Hz. As for direct comparison, not sure that your going to get a better comparison than the reviews albeit not direct. IMHO the SVS would be a slightly better choice with the driver having a huge track record, not that the ML is deficient.

Have been reading a lot lately and after all it seems that SVS SB13-Ultra would fit my needs best. There is still some time until purchasing this beast if there happens to be some other options I should consider. And if I'm lucky enough I will buy second one some day when I move to bigger apartment where I can have a whole room for audio.

Thanks, really interesting info out there and a lot useful information. What I meant is music with double kick bass for example can have really fast bass hits and I would like to be sure that my sub can keep up with the speed and reproduce all hits clean without problems. As I have read some subs can struggle there, I do not know if its true or not.

Is there any comparison available between SVS SB13-Ultra and MartinLogan Dynamo 1500x? Or does any one here have experience from both? As those 2 subs at the moment are looking best in my eyes. SB13 being 1700€ and 1500x being 1800€ they are really close to each other in price and if I'm not wrong in performance as well? Would 1500x benefit from down firing configuration over SB13? Or does it even matter?

I can get 1500x from local store for testing without any costs, for SB13 I need to email lsound if they have some contract with UPS for returning shipping and how much would it cost. But good thing is that I'm not in hurry with this purchase.
I guess no one has compared the two subs here.
Since one is locally available, at least try it out especially with a CD that contains those kick drums and see if it meets your needs.
