Looking for Amp Recommendations

The speakers will be located in the "Great Room" which is part of a very open floor plan. Music will be listened to from all over the place. I don't typically do my music listening in one solitary spot. I would like it to fill one room, and sometimes spill into the next room if I'm in the kitchen. Eventually every room will have a dedicated speaker system, but until then I need it to be BIG!!
IMO you don't need an amp. You need better speakers.

Indeed. I just got off the phone with Axiom. Ditched the M3s and signed up for the M60s...and the sub. Went with the high gloss cherry instead of the custom finish and it only cost me an extra $200. If the wife doesn't like it, she can chip in for the veneer herself! (No, she'll never read this.):D

By the way, big kudos to Brent and the guys at Axiom. They were a week away from shipping my CUSTOM ORDERED speakers, and they scrapped the whole order without even flinching. Now that's customer service!!

I see. :D
Then, it looks like it is somewhat background music otherwise it will be very loud in some places for others in the family:eek:
If so, you don't need more power.

As others have pointed out, you need larger speakers. Like Seth said, spending four figures on amps and receivers to power $330 bookshelf speakers makes no sense.
He knows he wants the M80v2. :D

BTW look at this Integrated amp I just came across. It is an absolute beast for the price and then some.

This company Red Rose Audio sells the same exact amp with their sticker on it for $7000! Gotta love American companies ripping off Chinese ones.

It only gets cranked up when the wife isn't home.:D I never consider my music to be "background." Even if I'm occupied with something else, I take my listening pleasure very seriously. I like my life to have a soundtrack! Besides, when I'm making a big pot of gumbo, a little Muddy Waters just helps bring all the flavors together.
