Juliancun,

You probably won't see much change in your system until you upgrade your speakers. Speakers are the main components in an HT system that improve the SQ.

Good Luck!

agreed ! modern a/v receivers are feature based, but their basic performance is very similar between manufacturers. Speakers are the single most important element in an HT setup to the overall sound quality of the system.

RC Micros have a .5" tweeter and 2.5" mid speakers (I refuse to call any speaker that small a "woofer") - tiny by any standards. While they are more than a match for a small den or bedroom, they will be lost in a room with any interior volume at all.

Do you already have the speakers and no receiver to drive them? Those speakers are pretty small for your size room.

I am not sure what your budget is but for $450 -$500 you can put together a very decent speazker system. Four Cambridge Audio S-30s or four Berhinger Truth 2030Ps and a Dayton SUB-120HT. The two receivers you mention are entry Denon and Marantz and either would work fine. I prefer Marantz.

Do you have a budget? It would make it easier to give you an idea of what would work best.

Good Luck!

To get the most out of any speakers you need enough power to get the potential out of them. You can't go wrong with the Denon 1910 receiver.
