No. Google up the manual for the RX A3080. Only option for on screen will not allow any input.

Damn. That is crazy. So there is no way to see the songs and album art on the tv?

Do you have an Android or iPhone to use their music cast app?

If you use the MusicCast app on my iPad you can then choose Pandora and change the stations but only if use an iPad or Android or Apple phone. Wasn’t that way on my RX A1050.

I told Yamaha support I didn’t like it. I’m in to it for a bunch of cash now and they won’t take it back or let me transfer the warranty to a new owner so I’m stuck with it.

Even though I admit the apps always work, the onscreen method is nice to see the album artwork on the TV in the background. I don’t understand why they would remove that.

The changes are on the 2018 models. My 2016 and 2017 Yamahas work like the 2015 RXA1050.

The art work and song info is still there but you must use a third device to display it and play it.

So on that new remote, is it backlit? I end up using my iPhone as a remote because all my remotes aren’t backlit.

Ya a tablet or phone device needed. You could mirror your iPad screen to an Apple TV for music artwork possibly on the TV while using AirPlay but painful.

Any other issues? There is some firmware update from 10/30. Did you do that one?

That is typically the case for a good power amp. For the lower to mid range AVRs, integrated amps and even power amps, it is not always the case. They may in fact provide higher output (10-50% more) on the test bench, but such higher outputs into 4 ohms and below are not sustainable, though totally adequate for real world movie and music listening applications.
So which is more important, nominal or minimal? If it’s nominal then I’d be best suited at 6 ohms. Am i looking at this correctly? I think Onkyo said at 6 ohms this unit pushes 250wpc on the spec sheet. How true or accurate that is I’m unsure. But damn does she sound great!
