Why remove non-mainstream and non-Hollywood productions?
Because no one's going to buy them. I don't see people lining up outside Best Buy to get their hands on the latest
Bikini Destinations. Do you?
I wanted the list to be MOVIES. Things that are not considered to be "motion pictures" were not counted. And I didn't remove all "non-Hollywood" productions. Just things that weren't MOVIES.
For example, I didn't count
Digital Video Essentials. I didn't count
HDScape: Fireplace - Visions of Tranqulity. But I DID count "non-Hollywood" stuff like
From the Earth to the Moon, as well as TV shows like
The Sopranos. You know.. things that will actually have an impact on the war, things that people will buy.

What percentage do they make up?
Not a whole lot. There were only a few titles removed (like.. five), it's not like I cut the list in half or anything.

I wouldn't discount the porn industries films.
Why? No one but the adult industry actually counts those numbers. No report or sales data you read about DVD sales includes adult numbers. No news site reports on them. No stores carry them (except places that also have dildos in the window). In short, nobody cares. Why should I?
If you want to go through and re-do the numbers with every little title you can find, you're welcome to do so. I don't think it will change the outcome much.
