Looking For A Center Channel Speaker

Greetings! I am looking for a center channel speaker for my a/v system. I have a Yahama HTR-5063 digital receiver and a pair of JBL L100T.

Question: Should I be looking for a JBL center channel speaker or can I venture to another brand, such as a Polk Audio speaker (Model: CS1)?

Please advise.

I would try and find the matching JBL center. Matching your center to your left and right speakers helps build a seamless transition between your fronts.

Now that I have looked up your speakers, I see you may have a hard time finding a suitable matching center. It may be easier to do as Granteed said, and to start looking to upgrade your fronts.

if you plan on keeping the L100's up front, which you certainly can do, you'll have to build a matching center using the the same tweeter/mid arrangement. the guys on audioheritage.org will probably have pointers.
