After reading up the instructions of REQ such as Audyssey and Anthem RC, I agree some users (I don't want to label them as average, normal or not) could make thing worse engaging it. Regarding the Harman thing, I just can't take it serious without seeing the relevant before and after correction graphs. With Audyssey, you can't see those graphs without the Pro kit and the CI models. The graphs included in the check parameters screen are not accurate and don't tell much at all. Without data, it is all subjective. Again, it is like someone thinks the 802 diamond sounds great while others may think they suck. Same thing with REQ listening tests. Interesting info published by Harman, but not much more than that..
If REQ is so useless, then Anthem, Yamaha, D& M should just take them out and lower the price of their products, end of story.
