Load up on HD DVD's??

The DIVX movie "format" (aka Digital Video Express) is not the same as the DivX video codec which can be played back on many DVD players these days.

Interesting, I never knew that. Thank you for pointing it out. Still, I stand by the basic premise that if there is a demand for it long enough some one may put something out after a few years.

New HD DVD's should be considered as rentals, rather than purchases, because we'll only be able to play them until our players die. I'll get any I like if they are in the $5-7 range, but other than that, stick to Lo Def DVD for my once Hi Def but now just up converting A3.

Anybody out there planning on stocking up while the gettins good? I see no real benefit to selling this stuff at a loss, besides, who's gonna buy it?

I was thinking about picking up a few laser discs on ebay too while I was at it.
