It seems he died from a dissecting thoracic aortic aneurism, which very, very few survive. It is usually instant death. It is a sudden catastrophic event precipitated by median necrosis of the aorta, which results in sudden stripping of the layers of the aorta. Sudden death is the usual outcome.

Actually the cause of this is not well understood, but hypertension is a risk. This is a very different condition from the much more common simple aortic aneurism, with a different causation.

From what I saw his age, lifestyle etc would have played a role, but not the entire role in this episode. Why we shouldn't have such old fuckers in government, particularly drumphy.

No, I was referring to Churchill! He was 65 years old when he became Prime Minister in WW II. My point is that if there had been an age limit Churchill would not have been prime minister. He is winning the Ukrainian war from the grave. Zelensky admits he tries to think like Churchill and asks himself "What would Churchill do now?" At the start of the war he visited Churchill's bunker under London and sat in his chair. He has admitted even before the war he had studied Churchill's writings. He left voluminous accounts. Cheekily he remarked:- "History will be kind to me as I will write it" And that he did, and in great detail.

To me, his support for Ukraine was his only redeeming quality. However, I am not sure if his support for it was because it was a righteous cause or simply because he never saw a war he didn't like. Given his record, I am guessing the latter.
