I've narrowed my choices of TV's down to 2 models. Both seem to have some pros and cons.

LG 52" 52SX4D
Pros:
New HD3 chip
Can read all memory stick types
2 HDMI inputs
Can take PC input
$500 cheaper
Cons:
Picture didn't look quite as sharp (was still pretty darn good though)
I don't know much about LG

Sony 55" WF655
Pros:
Larger screen
Image seemed sharper
Cons:
Only reads Sony memory sticks (I don't have any sony cameras, I have Canon)
More expensive

I'm currently on the fence. The LG has a lot more features and is cheaper, but I don't know much about their sets. The Sony looked great, but doesn't have everything I might want.

Any suggestions???

"Picture didn't look quite as sharp "

That's a pretty big factor when you're spending a couple grand plus for a TV.

I have no recent experience with LG products but remember quite well when they were formally incarnated as Lucky Goldstar.....and made some of the poorest electronics on the planet. I'd imagine that they've improved their quality since they've reincarnated as LG (they'd have to as they couldn't get worse) but I'd take my chances on the Sony (besides, it's bigger ;) )

LG is a great line, but then so is Sony.
The best advice I can give you is don't trust the picture you see on any display in the store. They have all the power to dictate which units have the best media, and the best cables that day. Therefore they control the picture quality on an as needed bases. Every retailer has quotas to fill to keep their dealerships active and they get spiffs for meeting or exceeding these quotas. In short they decided which TV would look the best before you walked in the door.
Bear in mind this is comming from a custom installer who dispises retaiers.
The way I see it you are weighing size against features. Decide which is the most important to you and go for it. The picture will be great on either unit.

I recommend the LG. The new TI HD3 chip and 5th generation ATSC tuner make this HDTV a winner. LG's 2 yr. warranty is another benefit.
