Hello. Newbie here. I have an LG lhb725 home cinema system. The subwoofer just like the rest of the speakers has 2 wires. However the connector on the box has an orange plug type box.

I know I need to connect the sub wires to the plug and then plug it in the box but the player didn't come with a plug.

What's the plug called I need? I've searched Google for LG subwoofer plug etc but can't find anything that suits.

Picture attatched is rear of the box showing the orange fitting where the plug goes. Tia

Below is a screenshot from a Youtube video I found that shows the plug attached to the cable. Obviously proprietary - I’ve never seen anything like it. If it’s missing, that’s a real problem. You might contact LG parts dept. to see if the sell them. If not, I expect you’re flat out of luck.

If it is a powered subwoofer and the special cable carries audio, you could make your own cable. For line level audio you would need shielded (coaxial) cable, and solder pin connectors on the ends. Then use needle nose pliers to insert the connector over each pin on the receiver and the sub. The pin sockets are not sold separately. Parts Express only sells the pins (male end) and it looks like you need the socket (female end). You could purchase a molex socket, remove the female connectors and use them. Actually, looking at the photos, the plug comes in pieces with the sockets inserted manually, so no disassembly required. It's a bit of a kludge, but if you can't purchase the proper plug from LG then I see few other options.
