Lexicon DC-2 V4.0 vs MC-1 V1.0

I have a DC-2 V4.0 and have an opportunity to get a MC-1 that needs a power supply for $100. I was going to get it and use the PS from my DC-2 to repair it, then sell the DC-2 w/o PS on ebay. Hopefully I'll just about break even. But the seller is not sure what version the MC-1 is.

If the MC-1 is not V4.0 is it still an upgrade? Also, what does it take to upgrade the MC-1 to V4?

MC-1 upgrade

The version 4 upgrade for a MC-1 is simply the chip...and a new manual...I am looking at it now and that is all there is...remove the old chip and plug in the new one...observing anti static procedures of course. The power supplies are all the same from dc-1 to mc-1...I have heard [read]that the dc-2 remote is different from mc-1 though,even if they seem to look the same. Tom
