you have an open rack

...that's completely custom installed inside the alcove wall...

i was asking for pics of your setup, and you completely ignored that request.

I didn't completely ignore the request; do you actually answer every single one of every single members' questions? It was a simple matter of not answering every single thing someone asks me...it happens via online discussion sites. I don't have a method for getting the pics onto the computer right now, so that's why I didn't answer.

the reason i was asking for pics is that i wanted proof of your genuineness and you're not just yanking these people's chains.

What? First of all, when did I preclude that I was a genius, and why on God's Green Earth would I want to yank anyone's chains about all this? Why would I waste my time? I'm clearly trying to find answers to questions I have about the operation of this Onkyo receiver in relation to its HDMI processing; I wanted to make sure HDMI OUT: PLAYER-HDMI IN RECEIVER-HDMI OUT RECEIVER-HDMI IN DISPLAY is the correct loop chain.

you are ignoring all the important things.

please answer this first:

why is this a GIANT INCONVENIENCE to do?

2) i told you that you didn't need to go to the rear of the display because all you need to do is move the HDMI cable from the receiver to the player.
you DO NOT have to go to the rear of the display.

which you got a million answers all saying yes.

you seem to have a hard time understanding such a simple word such as: yes.

Within about five minutes you typed these replies and then went back in to re edit them and make your text larger than life for visceral effect...wow...indeed, pretty impressive. :D

Did you actually go back to the countless replies in this thread and witness and document one million answers confirming that it's right? I counted a handful at most and the remainder of the rhetoric consisted of people contradicting which connections should be made, whether the 605's video sucks so bad that IT could be causing the problem and various other topics ranging from HDMI Monitor worries to whether or not my SXRD display can properly show HD...

Wasn't it you who questioned that, actually?;)

Yes, I noticed, which is why I was saying it was impressive. That was very intuitive and must have required great skill. I am impressed.

Are you one of those people who need to be screaming the loudest in the room in order to be heard, recognized or respected? Suspect behavior has never loomed so large. ;)

I'm not a troll, and again, we're back to the name-calling. Beautiful. Dense...that's a new one. Why don't you type it in ultra sized letters again...

I am trying to get answers to the HDMI IN/HDMI OUT dilemma.

Ok, I'm too damn lazy to read this whole thread.

If you're using a good quality HDMI cable like the DVI Gear SHR cables and you're having problems running through the receiver........

What happens when it's connected directly to the display?

for the one millionth time

You got it, mike

He's either a troll or the most ignorant, lazy mo-fo that ever infested this site.

No, ignorant isn't the right word. Ignorance can be cured by enlightenment and so many people here have tried to enlighten this bozo that it makes my head spin.

Stupid is incurable.

...where's the hook?

Deal with it, crybaby.

Remember, the goal here is to help and with this OP. the simpler the better

Mark,

This statement is completely and utterly unnecessary; I don't need that simple of a breakdown -- I am knowledgeable in a bit more technical aspects of HT than that.

Heck, the OP can't even keep up with the simple stuff

Again...come on, man...this just isn't cool...I am keeping up but it's difficult with the constant opinion shifting and comments like "The video processing in the 605 sucks and that's why the receiver is so cheap..." leading me to believe that I should now upgrade to a $5000 receiver just to pass HDMI video through...
Sorry, but so far you haven't given me (us?) any reason to dispute my statements. You're too fargin lazy to do anythng for yourself and, yes, you ARE getting on our nerves.

Suggestions have been repeated multiple times and you STILL can't pick up on 'em, even after AVrat simplified it down to three easy steps.

Read, try what's suggested, and make your own decision. You're a big boy and can think for yourself, aren't you?

Something tells me you won't be here for long if you don't change your way of thinking, so to speak. One of the mods in this thread has little tolerance for trolls.

edit: Oops... a little late I guess.
