Opel GT's were re-introduced for 3 model years (2007-2009) as the European version of the Pontiac Solstice built in Wilmington which stopped in 2009 due to the financial problems and restructuring.

mmm, I knew that GM purchased Opel,but I did'nt know about that re-introduction ,thanks !

My neighbor was an Opel freak. He had one of those little guys, another coupe and two or three wagons. I believe he was an Opel mechanic at one point and did work on those cars for people.

Yep, but you'll notice that the troll was more or less ignored anyway lol. I am thinking there were at least two or three accounts that were all the same troll-tastic turd or were hacked accounts.

My best friend in high school had an Opel Kadett. I just remember how it had a 3-speed manual transmission with burned out first gear and a smoked clutch. Sometimes I had to get out and push to get it rolling. Riding mowers come with bigger engines.

I still think the Opel GT was one of the prettiest and most sensible cars ever made. The looks of a Corvette and the economy of the Kadette.

Heck, I still want one. Maybe an electric blue Hyundai Genesis Coupe will quench my thirst...

They were cool cars at the time. My buddy had a yellow GT.
I remember the first time I opened the hood on one, expecting to see a turbo or something under that bulge in the hood. I was disappointed to see in was only to make room for intake plumbing.
