Are there any decent led out there yet?...i had one and i almost got sick when i had that ''blooming'' issue...plasma rocks...:)
I agree Plasma rocks....but when my 46" Samsung Plasma burned out the main board in less then a year and Samsung said it cost more to repair(waited 2 weeks for a decision) so they gave me full store credit. I looked at the new 55" Toshiba Regza Cinema Series LCD/LED almost ZERO "Bloomimg" this LCD is NOT frame lighting model. Check one out you will be suprised. Our older Toshiba 46" regular LED is OK when veiwed straight on. And most people don't notice the "Blooming" our Plasma was Much better then this 3 year old model LED. .
LCD/LED is much better and does not generate so much heat from the top vents. Wii going for 15 hours on cold days ..kids..... burn in worries. I had to do the maintance sweep every few days on Plasma. I even had 2 small fans blowing at the back side lower vents when I felt so much more heat then our older LED. I did not wall mount the Plasma because of th heat and had it about 20" from the wall for air space and it still failed. I am sure there are a lot of Plasma sets that last Much longer......just sayin what happened to us.

Thanks.........we have HVAC here in Texas too.:D You are right if you like your Plasma as well as I like my 55" LCD that is all that matters. All I can say is good luck and I hope you have many good years with your Plasma. Look at some of the commercial installs on Plasma in sports bars(with AC:)) etc where they on 18 hours a day. I see fans behind them;) must be a reason. Lets see if the heat is a issue a year or two from now. I hope not. Stay warm it's cold out.
Best Regards
Louis

I think I will hang on to my Plasma Panny and older 60" Sony KDS-R60XBR2 which has never given me any troubles ( thank you man up stairs). When the Sony goes, I might look at LED or the next best thing.
