Ok, I dumped everything and reinstalled. It still seems really slow. Example, I pull up MSN, hit a link and it takes 21 seconds to pull up the first picture.

Andrew is correct, we are working with my personal CPU.

I backed up everything first Warp.

And it's not just your internet connection that is slow? I say try something that doesn't involve the web.

Whatever brand PC you got, go to their website and download the appropriate drivers. You probably never did this the first time. Vista likely picked the "ideal" drivers it thinks your computer needs which slows it down because they are not optimized for your hardware.

You need your PC brand and model, then go to the support/downloads section and update. Then go to the windows site and get those updates. Whenever I start fresh I have the same issue.

Also, when loading websites computers normally save much of the data in the cache to speed up the loading process. You deleted your cache when you started fresh, so the first time you visit sites it will take a little longer than normal, after that it should speed up.

I hope this makes sense, I have indulged tonight.

I have a "drivers and utilities" disc that I can load too, it came with the computer. Should I do that or what you said?

Yep, I just bought a really good scotch and have hit it pretty good myself.

How do I check that?

Do I need to download the "drivers and utilities" disc?
It sounds like its the internet connection thats slow. Why don't you stop the download of the pirated version of Boys Gone Wild and report back.

I seem to remember getting plowed on an 18 y/o Glenlivet ...
The regular 12 y/o was actually nice enough to be a treat. :)

You may be gay...
I call it the fast track to getting the mortgage paid off.
