L/R Surrounds for $300 or less

Hey everyone,

I'm in the process of building my first HT, and I'm trying to do so on a modest budget. I'll have a 7.1 setup, but I can't decide on my L and R surrounds. I'd like to spend no more than $300 for the pair, preferably less. My only constraints are size, since I will be mounting them on a sloped wall (HT is in bonus room over garage) and I don't want anyone hitting their head on the speakers. I've already decided on in-ceilings for my rear surrounds, and FWIW my front soundstage consists of Polk Monitor 70s, Polk CS2, and BIC-H100 Sub. The rear surrounds will be Monoprice In-Ceiling speakers (either 6 1/2" or 8") because of placement limitations and the inexpensive price.

I thought about using two more of those In-Ceilings for my other two surrounds but I'm not sure how much of a difference wall-mounted speakers would make in terms of sound quality, etc. Thanks for the help in advance.

I would just do another set of in wall/ceiling speakers that match your others. It will be the cleanest installation and appearance wise and they will sound the same so your surround pans will not change timbre as they move across the room.
