Klipsch wf-35 breakin period?

So, I finally have my home theater nearly complete and running (just waiting to hang the projector screen). I have the Denon 3311CI powering the 7 Klipsch speakers and sony 570 streaming the netflix. My question is does anyone have any thoughts about what the break-in period is for Klipsch?

I think they sound decent right now, although the center wc-24 is somewhat weaker than I expected, just wondering how long before I can really open them up and let them sing.

ALso, then denon can do so much more than I expected or probably even can use, bu then again, I am very new to the audiophile world.

What source material are you using with the Klipsch's? Just streaming netflix? You wont get very good sound from streaming netflix because of how compressed it is. Do you have a subwoofer? Have you tried running audyssey yet?

For your speaker break-in:

1) Start playing some music with them.
2) Read this Audioholics article.
3) Before you're done reading, your speakers will have completed break-in.

there's probably not a set time. while your home leave it on in the background for a while. do this for a week or so....pretty much done.

Since it is mostly psychological, ear/brain human perception "break in"....the time period....is entirely up to you.

I've owned quite a few speakers over the years where I liked what I bought enough to buy another pair 6 months or a year later. The new speakers sounded exactly like the 'broken in' ones right out of the box. I listened very carefully to see if there were any differences - never did hear any.

In addition to streaming netflix from the sony 570 bluray, I also listen to music through the ipod usb port and cd's as well. Have two xw500d subs pumping out the low end. All the speakers sound good, the center is a little weak, but I was just kind of wondering if there is a breakin period before you should crank it up to obnoxious volumes? Yes audyssey has done it's thing as well.

in terms of volume, I like to let them run a week just in case before I blast, but thats me. I'm probably just over neurotic.

With those Klipsch? i wouldnt lose sleep over, obviously don't clip the amp/reciever to distortion as that would tear up any speaker. If it sounds loud and clean, your pretty much ok. As with any system, feel out what it can and can't do before you go too crazy but if you can't get klipsch to go loud enough, you got a bigger set of stones than I do :D

In terms of the center, sometimes standard calibration doesnt put it loud enough to make many happy. I know my wife always complains during movies if i use standard calibration.....I run my center a couple DB hot and i find i prefer it as well. don't be afraid to experiment, it's part of the fun

knucklehead90 essentially correct.....just use common sense and avoid driving them hard for a few days...just to make sure the glue holding the surrounds is dry in case they were manufactured a few days before...aside from that, common sense would dictate that they are ready to go out of the box or you should buy another brand....materials deteriorate with age, but there should not be much difference with units that are new vs those a year or so old..
