saw these at newegg for a mind boggling 129. i've always wanted to own a pair of klipsch speakers because of their "hugantic" imaging the horns give. are these worth anything?

I can see you with a pair of La Scala floorstanders but you might need a bit bigger apartment. :D

You should get them. I'd like to see a comparison between the B-2's and the Monitor 40's.

I love Klipsch, but I would probably pass on their lower Synergy line and save up for their reference series.

Hey, is the klipsch synergy totally unrelated to the danley synergy horns? I just found it a bit curious they use the same title.

yeah, klipsch and polk have a similar sound imo. from what i've heard from the klipsch i've demoed. as far as imaging and the "brightness". i honestly dont wan't to pass these up for the price, even if they don't replace the polk's i can use them as a seperate stereo system. i probably wouldn't replace the polks just yet with them though because i'm hanging on to the polks because of the bass extension and the fact i'm not using a sub. i'm also seriously considering some RF-52's so if i decide to get those in the future, the synergy's would make great surrounds. i need new ones anyways because i have been using optimus bookshelfs for awhile, while they don't sound particularly bad they don't compare to the polks.

The Klipsch will have a better central image than the Polks. The two
speakers will sound different. The Klipsch will be more forward. They
both lack in the midrange and the bass is not tight. However, at the
price point - they are OK.

the bass is pretty tight in my polks. fast and punchy.
