Which speaker combo is better overall? For music? Movies? I will be getting the matching surrounds and center and sub. I heard Klipsch will sound maybe a little more bright, but overall what are the big differences and your recommendations! Thanks!:)

I haven't heard the Reference series from Klipsch, but their cheaper speakers are very harsh to my ears. The Polk TSi lack some clarity but they're decent speakers.

FWIW, if you decide to go with TSi series speakers, head over to eBay and buy the Monitor series from Polk Direct instead. The TSi 500 is really just the Monitor 70 in a new cabinet, and you can get a pair of Monitor 70s from Polk for about $310.

Also look at the Infinity Primus series. About the same prices as the Polk Monitor series, but seem to be much more highly regarded. Look on Amazon for great prices.

I second the Infinity Primus speakers.

I prefer the Klipsch over the Polk speakers. The Polk speakers I've listened to sounded kind of muddy. My brother also owned a pair of Polk towers, and he got rid of them for the same reason - they did not sound very clear to him.

IMO, Infinity Primus speakers are more into flat on-axis/off-axis responses than Klipsch and Polk. But it does not guarantee that you will love them.

DenPureSound prefers the sound of his Klipsch RF82 over his Infinity Classia towers, although the Infinity have much flatter on-axis/off-axis frequency responses.

X4 for the Primus line. Polk's lower end speakers don't deliver.
