All I have to say about my system is WOW!!! Everything sounds great. Ironically enough I thought my 12 was plugged in and the bass sounded amazing, but it was only from my RF-82s. Then I realized the mistake and plugged it in. Let me tell you that it opened up a who new world, especially for my neighbors. Go with the RW-12D!!
Glad you like the sub... How are you liking the 82's.? I know its highly discredited here for most speaker types, but those horns really really open up and change after a couple hundred hours playing time.

So far I have really enjoyed them, but I also haven't compared any other horn tweeters other than low end klipsch. Music sounds absolutely amazing on them, but if they open up after a while, I'm sure I'm in for a treat. I only have probably 60 hrs on them, if that.

do some research on the cadence csx 12 from cadencestore.com
you can get one shipped anywhere to the lower 48 for $299.
i just got mine a few days ago and i love it. it actually sounds almost like a sealed sub. it hits hard and is way too powerful for my dorm room. i have to keep it at aboutone tenth the volume and thats pushing it :)
i cant wait to bring it home
good 12 inch sub for the money. it sounds better than my crappy 10's in my car with 1000w!

I agree with your comment regarding music... they are pretty dynamic. yeah, just wait.. i promise you... they really mellow out and open up. They lose some of the harshness get really warm. You'll like it. Do you use the sub when listening to music?

I originally wanted Klipsch reference series, but found killer deals on Def Tech stuff, so I got it, but I would gladly take a Klipsch reference 12 for $280 any day of the week.

truthfully I haven't had a chance to listen to a whole lot of music b/c of my work/school schedule, but this summer I am sure I will. For the little that I have listened to, I usually play the sub too, I just turn it down some.

Peaking of which, what's a good crossover frequency I should set my RW-12D too in combination with my RF-82s? Also, should this setting be different from Movies to music?

Thanks

Me too....
Guys, where are you getting prices such as these? Did I read correctly that you're getting the BB employee discount? How much are the Sub-12s? I've got one already and would like to add another. I certainly can make friends with someone at BB to get a second this kind of a discount.

How much were your RF-82s?
