Klipsch did me good .... again.

I have used Klipsch tech support for a few things here and there. You hardly ever have to wait on the phone, and at times they were actually able to go 'across the hall' and grab an engineer to help. Always very friendly and you just have that feeling like they are right around the corner.

All of the calls I have made to them have been for tech advice rather than reporting a problem, until last week.
I noticed an audible 'blip' sound on one of my Klipch powered subwoofers when pressing the volume bottons. It is very faint and has no effect on the speaker one bit while its playing. The only reason I even thought it might be a problem, is because I just added an identical sub, that did not do this. While the new sub is the exact same model it is a year newer. And I thought that maybe something was going bad on the control electronics in the old one, given that the new sub did not produce the 'blip' (or 'blop' since we are talking bass tones here).

To not make the story too long, it was found out that Klipsch made a minuscule upgrade during the production run to silence it, which occured between the purchase of the old and new subs.

Klipsch is going to upgrade mine with a replacement of whatever electronic part it is, at no cost. The dealer is handling it all for me. I will be without it for about 10 days.

So I say, Hurrah !, for excellent above the call service. Its good to know its still out there.

Glad to hear they are doing you right. It's good customer service like that, that makes people repeat customers. I had the same type of positive experience with SVS and Emotiva.

Seriously, I have no life.
Yes, it is good to hear such stories about companies who still know what customer service is about. :D

Great Story! The name of the game is know who you are dealing with. I would rather pay a little more for good service, especially if it's a high dollar item. I've been burned a couple times mainly b/c I thought I got this great deal, but in the end, I would have rather paid a little more to get better service. The cost in savings wasn't worth it too me, considering the amount of time I had to spend on the phone b/c I chose to deal with the wrong company. :( On the bright side, though, there are some excellent companies I've dealt with: AV123, Emotiva, and SVS. :)
