This one was pretty interesting and I would recommend it for a rental. Great dialogue, farily interesting story, good acting. It seems to poke fun at movie making in general and LA in particular. It gets a little out of hand at times, but it was fun the whole time; sort of Crash on crack. Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer; probably Downey's best movie in a long time, if not ever. Downey is a petty criminal who gets a break and ends up stumbling into a muder mystery. Can't tell you anything too specific as it may take away from the story.

Well

I didn't like it so much, kinda hard to follow. On the other hand my wife thought it was great. I will agree it was RD jr at his best.:D

It was well paced, but the large number of "twists" or rather turns in the plot, do make it a bit hard to follow at times. It made sense in the end. It isn't one of the best movies ever, but I found it to be quite entertaining at the very least. It has a lot of good one liners (it is very dialogue driven), and the character interaction was very good; particularly between Downey and Kilmer. "Yes, you are stupid." :D

This movie tried too hard to be clever. I found it annoying and unwatchable.

Some of the narration and situations were a bit too contrived, but I think that much of the time it seemed to actually be intentionally poking fun at murder mystery movies in general, since it was more of a comedy with a little mystery/adventure mixed in. It didn't take itself too seriously.

I liked it, and more importantly even my hubby liked it, which is unusual. I think we're both sick and tired of movies where you can guess what's coming next, no matter what genre. This movie kept us guessing.

I enjoyed VK more the RDjr in this one, but I'd just eaten a large spagetti dinner and kept dozing...did manage to make it through the last 1/2 and enjoyed it, but with qualifications. Doubt if I'll rewatch.
