This truly is a BIG loss for Norway.

King Harald V was far more than our King. For more than 35 years, he was a symbol of Norway itself — a steady, warm and unifying presence through good times and difficult ones. He understood his people, stood with them in times of tragedy, and always made it clear that his duty was to serve Norway.

He was deeply loved and respected because he never put himself above the Norwegian people. He was our King — approachable, humble, human, and profoundly Norwegian.

For an entire generation, Harald V was simply the King of Norway. His passing feels like the end of an era.

Norway is mourning these days.

perhaps he and 'Dolly' are up there singing a song together, RIP.......

I was watching La Vuelta stage 7. There was a moment of silence before the start the race. Then two Uno-X Mobility riders, a team operates out of Norway, went on to take first and second places on that day. First place for Andreas Leknessund and Second for Tobias Halland Johannessen. Uno-X rode brilliantly as a team that day.

Indeed it is sad for Norway.
A side note of interest(maybe everyone on earth already knows this lol)
Another king Harald is Harald Bluetooth. Our modern BT technology is named after him, and the BT icon is made of the runes for H(arald) and B(luetooth).
Maybe Harald(o) is a descendant? [emoji16]

I followed the whole funeral live together with my wife at a social gathering at work. Everything was so beautiful and dignified — the music, the words, the quiet respect from people lining the streets. You could feel the whole country pausing together. A truly fitting farewell to a king who carried his role with such warmth and humility. Hvil i fred, Kong Harald.
