I need a lower, inside woofer and the rod...I found a woofer b200 bass unit, but its sp118, not sp1256...will it work? Where can I get a rod? Is the rod for 104/2 theater as 105/3?

Mostly I need to know if the force canceling rod is the same in the 104.2 as the 105.3

I’ve just finished my 104/2 pair, but have a few questions after running into low bass output. Can I pick your brain?

I would pose the question, would you know that the rod wasn’t present? I’ve just dug through a pair of 104/2 and the term “over engineered” comes to mind. The concept of the woofer loading is very efficient with what they squeeze out of a few inexpensive 8” paper cone woofers, but I wonder what’s really necessary.

From my experience yes the rod is an essential component that almost eliminates cabinet vibration and therefore I assume resonance. I've experienced the bottom bolt that holds the lower bass driver coming loose and man it really shudders. I certainly wouldn't consider them over engineered, just well engineered, especially the crossover.
