KEF 105.2 Crossover Frequency

I am trying to find out the crossover points of KEF 105.2 speakers if you look at their website museum they list the crossover point as 3000hz, but the problem is it is a 3 way system. And I need to know the crossover point for the woofer. I tried calling KEF in NJ and the person that I talked to seemed to think that 3000hz was the difference between the crossover frequency. Which makes no sence at all to me. I guess they are too busy running after new customers then to worry about the old ones.

Here are the circuits. There are two circuits depending on serial number.

The crossovers are third order for all slopes. From the pictures the caps are all electrolytic types. Those caps will have all grossly changed value by now.

By dead reckoning I would estimate the woofer crossover to be around 400 Hz.

There is a zobel circuit for the mid and tweeter, but not the woofer.

If it were me I would build completely rebuild those crossovers from scratch on new boards. I think I would use three separate boards. I would use polypropylene capacitors, and air cored inductors for the lower inductor values at least. The part count is high, the parts will run you close to $100 per crossover. You will have to build carefully and not make a mistake.

You will have some time and money in this project before you are done.

What are you planning to do? If you are planning to use generic crossovers forget it. Are you able to build these circuits?
