Kef 104.2 purchase question

I am looking at a pair of Kef 104/2 for around $225 that states "Original Midrange Speaker Drivers and Tweeters were replaced with Tweeters made in Isreal." I've been looking for a pair of 104/2 but wasn't sure exactly what was replaced (planning on texting the seller) but wanted your opinions if it was even worth the effort. It looks like I can get what is claimed to be original speakers with original drivers without replacement for around $400 on Ebay. Don't know if there are some great drives out of Isreal and this is common to the speaker or just some hack job on the speaker. Not even sure what questions to ask the seller. I guess my other thought is that if I get used speakers there is always a chance of the drivers going bad, sooner or later, and are there good, matched drivers that people use to make the sound fairly similar to the original sound. Thanks for any advice. I

At a guess unliikely they were the same spec as original drivers, so more likely a hack job.

Absolutely avoid those, they will be a mess. A change of drivers basically requires a complete redesign of the speaker. Different drivers are very different and the sound will be as well.
