JVC LX-NZ3 Noise Issue

I have a JVC LX-NZ3 projector and very happy with the picture quality.
Does anyone know where I can find out how loud the fan is supposed to be?
The noise from the fan is loud enough that when a movie sound is down it sounds like a helicopter in the back of my theater.
My installer said its normal but I want to double check as it doesn't sound normal to me.
I looked in the manual but can't seem to find anything.
Appreciate anyone helping me find a reference.

Have you tried switching to Eco mode? What mode are you in now?

I am in normal mode. When I switch to Eco mode it is quieter for sure. When in Dynamic High mode it is noticeably louder.

Yeah, depending on mode can make the fan work harder. If it still sounds loud overall, you could have a faulty fan. If it becomes too distracting I would call JVC and see if they can send a replacement fan.

I have a decibel meter. Do you know at what distance its usually measured at? At 6 feet I measuring 44 db
