Hello again folks. I am having some last minute confusion regarding the AV receiver.

The choice comes down to:
1. AVR 1610: Audyssey + HD Decoding + Lower price
2. Marantz Sr4003: Better for music, but no HD decoding nor Audyssey available + Higher price.

Now I wish to know if the Denon 1610 will play with the Quad 11L2 well ? And is there a significant loss in the quality of music churned out when compared with a Marantz ?

The Marantz does have MARC which I believe is Marantz's own attempt at room calibration/EQ.

With that said, I don't know how MARC compares. Marantz's higher lines have Audyssey, so I would guess it is not as good. Maybe others can comment.

The Marantz does have HDMI. I believe that most BR players will procces the HD sound and send it via HDMI. All the Marantz has to do is pass it through.
