Hello I'm very new to home audio but have been into car audio for a couple years. I just found a pioneer sx-1250 sitting my garage and starting looking it up to see if it was worth buying speakers for the receiver.

Anyways I hooked up some crappy speakers to it, just to make sure it works. It worked fine. So I have any extra Subwoofer laying around and wonder if I could use it with the receiver. I see there is a Filter on the receiver but it seems to be to all channels not just one.

If anyone has any info on this receiver please let me know.

Welcome to the forum!

I wish that I found stuff like that in my garage. :) I'd suggest that you do a Google search for info on that - only because there's some good info out there. Two of the first hits from my search are here and here. Looks like a very nice unit.

Regarding the subwoofer, there's likely a way to get it connected. The best way will depend on what kind of connections are on the subwoofer itself. What model is your subwoofer?

For other readers, here are some pictures of that receiver:

It's a 4ohm/600w 12in Subwoofer(digital audio). I also have a 2ohm/600w Kenwood 12in Subwoofer. I was planning to hook it right up to the receiver but don't have a way to filter the High/Low. I research the receiver a little bit and it looks awsome. I have an extra car amp too but don't know how to power it....but that would give me a way to control the sub.

Nope, their Car subwoofers and the amp is a Car amp.
