I would consider elevating the center up wards slightly with Auralex Mo Pads or some sort of stand. Would probably make the center sound better. I have listened to a few systems with center on tables like that and they seem to have reflection with table or stand. Some sort of table style cloth usually helped.

Have you thought about, or experimented with placing the sub on the opposite side, closer to that corner? Might give you a little better bass response.
