Hey All,
Just looking for a little advice here! I just purchased my first HT system and looking to get it setup in a multi-use family room. I know this isn't ideal, and I just need to work with the hand I have been dealt here. But, I have seen some conflicting information on surround placement in a 5.1 system. Also, unfortunately my couch is against the rear wall.
Equipment:
Denon 4300H receiver
Polk s50 Towers
Polk s30 Center
Polk s10 Surround
SVS PB-1000 Sub
Room:
The room is about 11'x15' but I'm really only looking for the sound stage to be setup in about 11'x9' area. The couch and main viewing/listening seat is located about 8.5 ft from the TV. I currently put the speakers on stands behind the couch, but I am worried that the people that are sitting left or right of center will have a bad experience. I did purchase some mounts for the wall, but my concern is that there seems to be a lot of conflicting info on if the speakers should be toed in towards the MLP, face forward, or be pointed at each other.
Thanks for the help!
