JULY 1st 2007 NO SMOKING in the UK

Washington a few year's back and went to a restaurant that had a smoking section and it was disgusting!! Plus it's great to go out to a club and not have to come home and immediately wash your clothes because they smell like an ashtray

Those days are long gone here. There is no smoking withing 25 feet of the entrance or ventalation system of any public building. It is very nice.

If all the smokers go away, who will pay the 200% (or higher) tax that smokers are willing to pay because they are addicted??? Get ready for your taxes to go up!

I used that as my argument in the good old days. One way to refute that theory though is looking at health care. Here in Canada(health care is funded by the goverement) therefore everyone is basically treated equal. So then, how much of a burden you think smokers put on the our health care system? They'd be lucky to provide enough funds to support the problems they created in the first place and the FEDS IMO would find other ways to waste it!!

This is another good arguement against government controlled healthcare! Why should I have to pay for someone who smokes, drinks, doesn't exercise and is generally unhealthy?!?!

Well I see there’s a lot of positive and a few negative hits on the smokers. Well I can smell it up to around 50 feet on a clear night it really does travel and boy do they hum of it, whew pen and ink.

It would be interesting to see how many get caught smoking in-doors in public areas. I’m wonder what this would do for the bookies the betting shops around the UK? Not that I bet, I used to live above a betting shop and did the smell hum or what it seeped though the floor with a mid stale smell like someone or something had died?
