JTR T8 LP = $2200 + $80 s/h = $2280 delivered.

Dynaudio Excite X32 = $2000 delivered brand new (retail $2800).

Dynaudio Excite X32 used, 9/10 condition, $1500 delivered.

Purpose: music in average room where even P362 can play 105dB volume just fine.

Pros & Cons? Thoughts?

Dude, take some of that cash and build a couple of extra listening rooms on to your house! then you will have unlimited, check that, more capacity to expand on your speaker collection. then everybody's happy cause we all (okay most of us ) love Reading your listening impressions
Cheers, Mac

i wouldnt say there is anything wrong in buying speakers, but i would at leasr sell some before filling my room with mdf veneer boxes.
one crutial decision in buying new speaker is that they need to have a unique design goal.

And you don't think the head of the AH Rehab facility is nuts himself with the $60K Titus 8T speakers?
You might have a good point there, sounds almost like jumping from the fire into the frying pan. Maybe not a good move. But you do need some kind of help. I've been to some stores that have less equipment then you have in your house and you're not done yet.

alright, i have a suggestion. your're not going to like it because it goes against your "never sell speakers" mantra, but you have to admit - it makes a lot of sense. it's obvious that you are curious to hear/experience new speakers, not just short term in a store, but in your home where you can live with them and enjoy them. it's also obvious that long term this won't work, unless you plan on buying a warehouse someday.

so how about you have one (ONE!) pair of "rotating" speakers? you can set an arbitrary time limit (six months, whatever) or even just leave it open. when you start to get the itch again, off to audiogon they go and bring in the new ones. it would satisfy your cravings, save your wallet some and be fun. ;)

I'm good to go. I just needed some reminder.

But I should be good for a very, very long time w/o buying another speaker or amp.:D

Sure, all speakers differ in sound if you critically listen to the speakers - the tweeter, midrange, woofer, and cabinet. But if you lose yourself in the music, instead of analyzing every note, I think they start to sound very similar. Because then you are truly just enjoying the music itself.
