Hugh, thanks for posting this kind of stuff.

My eyes are open, as I don't think my contract here at SCE will be extended past December.

Curtis,

Don't wait.

Go ahead and apply.

The whole process will take time so I'd say go for it.

Good luck.

Hey Curtis,

Would you like me to bring my new Infinity Primus speakers to your place for speaker shootout? Maybe OnixMan can bring his Onix speakers too.
I really enjoyed & learned a lot from the speaker shootout that you have there 2 years ago.

Those two jobs might not be up my ally...but maybe I should just apply.

Well...I wouldn't call it a shoot out, more of a chance for folks to hear a variety of speakers. I might have something again, but I have remodeled the livingroom with bamboo floors(among other things) and it is not as audio friendly as before. I do want to hear some of Onix's newer offerings.

Yes, just apply anyway. You'd never know.

Just say when Curtis then I'll bring our LCR. Please note that these are not from Onix.

You can always put a large rug over your bamboo floor.

I can not cover the bamboo floor! Well, there is now also a coffee table, didn't have one before, I will probably put a rug under that at some point. Also, the sofas are now leather vs fabric, and that also makes a bit of a difference, and I currently don't have any window covering.

Hugh, Tarub...might you be interested in a trip to San Clemente to hear some Ascend prototypes as well as the current offerings, and possibly bring the Onix LCR?

I'm game as long as DF is buying lunch. :D

Also, the LCR is from ACA (my company) and not Onix's. :)

Cool!! You got a linky?

If DF doesn't buy you lunch...I will. It will more than likely be on a Sunday within the next month or so.

Cool! I'll go. Free lunch or not:) Ascend used to be just 5 miles (in Gardena)to where i live. Now they are way over there in San Clemente. David has to buy us brunch and dinner for that. LOL!

I'm pretty sure it will be early August...maybe even the 1st. We need to figure that out. They now have a listening room with the capability to level match before the amp with instant A/B switching.

San Clemente is much better than Gardena. :)
Yeah, their new offices are in a much nicer area...MUCH nicer, and I don't think DF has much of a commute either. But selfishly, Gardena is only 15 minutes from me!

Good looking speakers, Hugh, but you're going to need to work on getting the veneer to split if you ever hope to sell a ton of those. :D

Hmmmm....maybe I can fly in for that weekend. I have a few unused canceled tickets I can use. Maybe I can get an idea of what switcher I need to get for my now-more complicated HT/2-ch system. I don't want to pay Bryston prices for a switcher :)

Sorry to butt into this interesting conversation :D

Nhan...it would be great to have you out here. You'd be welcome to stay at my place.

The switcher is very easy to implement. Multi-channel amp(identical channels), a pre/pro with multi-channel analog inputs, and a stereo RCA switch.

When we figure out the date...I will let you guys know.

Cool. Thanks, Curtis. I might stay with Hugh, but he'll make me chauffeur him around town with his printed Google Maps :)

Re: the switch, I should have stated that I'm looking for speaker wire switching :) We can discuss off-line, but I added a pair of Melody monoblocks to my HT/2-channel system, and want to use them only for 2-channel, while I use a multi-channel amp for movies/tv.
