There is a parametric eq on the Dayton amplifier. Which, in a nearfiled scenario, with the 12" sub, had an f3 at 25hz. The 15" should be able to go lower, and if not definitely offer more output. I think the sealed enclosure was approximately 4 cu.ft. I will have to find my plans for that driver.

So my brother decided to move his 15W3v2-D3 into his house this past weekend. I got him the 500W BASH plate amplifer which we routered into the enclosure for a nice touch.

My brother has a small home, the living room is approximately 13 x 17 x 8 and open to other areas of the home. I ran a sweep through the sub at about 1/2-2/3 of the capability of the amplifier and all I can say is WOW. It is good down to about 20hz-23hz as it was for the car but the output is scary loud. The enclosure is 3.5 cu.ft net internal and tuned to about 20hz approximately.

I have been doing audio for over 10 yrs. and I have a pretty accurate guestimate on output. I forgot to fire up my SPL meter, but I would say that it was around 125db+ at 25hz in room at the listening position. It moves all the windows on that level of the house. By move, I mean the glass physically moves back and forth. When I go out there again, I will bring the meter to verify the output. It is corner loaded behind his television. The scary part is that there is even more to be had interms of dynamic capability. The woofer was not even approaching xmax and it was 100% clean. I am going to model up the sub again to check out the ideal vented enclosure.

If you can get this sub and do a larger enclosure, you will not be sorry. Even with 300 watts it will do quite well. You will just be limited on your dynamic capability.
