I wonder if someone can help me. I have a large Paradigm subwoofer which works quite well on the floor.
My wife has asked for a home theatre entertainment unit to house all components.
The unit has space on the bottom for a speaker this size with a grill door and a solid back panel.
Would placing a sub woofer in this space eliminate the effectiveness or sound quality of this speaker? Will standing waves build up in the rear and cause it to be too boomy or other equally bad sound?

Thank you.

If the unit is front ported or sealed, then it should be okay in the cabinet as long as you isolate it from the cabinet.
