One of the truly nicest men to ever be elected president. I was in the USAF during his term, and I didn't appreciate him. Not well liked by the military at least in my experience. Like matalli says wrong time. Anyway, RIP Mr. Carter you will be missed.

The world was not to be agreeable to any possible president of the times, but I always felt he meant well and it was nice to have someone in there who could be trusted for a change. Ford, was also given pretty much the same political hot potato. Things could have gone so much worse, considering.
