Jbl 530 vs b&w 705?

As the title says, what do you think?

Anyone with experience with speaker in home theater setup?

I have never thought B&W sound even close to JBL.
You would either like one or the other, not both.
I'll go for JBL every time. Never been a fan of B&W sound.

As for the JBL 500 series, the models I auditioned were very good.

I have never heard the JBL 500 but all B&W 700 and 800 series sound great to me. There was a detailed review with measurements by JA. I would not take the subjective part seriously but measurements are useful.

Never compared both either. But just me, I would personally vote for the B&W 705. If we're voting.

I generally prefer accurate/neutral speakers. But more importantly, I prefer speakers that sound good and look good.

I ordered the pair of 530s to tryout. I'll let u guys know what I think. If I don't like them, I'll send them back or keep for another room in the house.
