I think HSU sub are made or designed/engineered just less than 18 miles from you. Anaheim, California where the Disneyland (happiest place on earth) is. Maybe the HSU subwoofer parts are made from other countries just like the SVS sub as mentioned by Buckeyefan.
BTW, I live about 15 miles from Anaheim w/c can save me from shipping charges if I order my sub from HSU. But I still got the my PB12-isd/v from SVS 2 months ago. I dont care where all the parts came from on this sub as long as it will rock my house for years and years to come.

Well, let's take a look at SVS and HSU, two of the most well-known sub makers around. I believe SVS subs are made in the US and HSU subs are made in China. Are SVS subs insanely expensive or poorly made? I am not nearly as smart as many of you, but I think the answer is pretty obvious.

I applaud SVS and other companies who continue to make things in America. You can count on me as a customer because it makes me feel good to know that I might help save an American job when I buy your products.
I have seen a lot of posts deleted for various reasons, including (but not limited to) Sheep posts, jaxvon posts, my posts, etc.. And IMO, they were deleted for less reasons than I see with this post.

Clearly it is trying to bash Hsu over SVS, clearly a SVS fanboy/girl.
Another poster pointed it out, but so others don't buy into that post, I will go ahead and post exactly from Hsu site...

Straight from HSU
All products are proudly designed and engineered in the U.S.A..
Our address:
Hsu Research Inc.
3160 E. La Palma Ave, Unit D
Anaheim, CA 92806

For David, did you know that SVS as well HSU, do have parts made/in other countries?
Specially look at SVS New line of speakers...

I am by no way trying to bring any-company bad press. But that above posts was pretty blatant if you ask me...
Granted, no one did...

Oh, BTW thanks for that interesting post Buckeye.
My mother just bought & paid for (well about 8 months ago) a 05 Accord and she loves it...

"Another painful example of this exploit is the recent invasion-for-oil in the Middle East. We've got the oil, but prices are soaring. The fruit of this invasion does not go to you or me. It makes me sad to see people supporting all these crazy policies without asking serious questions. I feel better now."

And all of this time I though we were over there because terrorist killed 3,000 innocent CIVILLIANS to make a political statement, silly me!

Before you go off half-cocked and make stupid comments like this you should remember that there are many of us who lost friends and family on 9/11 and in the War on Terror that followed; we don’t appreciate people like you minimizing there lives and the sacrifices they made.

Zofo, Don't confuse the two issues: 9-11 & the war in Iraq have nothing to do with each other. You nor your passed friends should be offended by what was said, so please don't lose your temper and call anybody stupid.

Political commentaries (not related to audio) are best suited for other forums, so please move to one or just personal message whomever you want, leave it off the Audioholics forums. There's enough political commentaries in every form of media that we see on a daily basis, lets keep Audioholics about audio.

We are living in global economy here folks. Smart companies have to change with the times and use the strengths / weakness' of our own and other nations. Obviously China is very good at MANUFACTURING products and the US/Japan is very good at operating and marketing companies. Everyone talks about "Americans losing jobs" but there are no fewer jobs in America. We are evolving from a "labor" country to an "intellectual" country. And that has improved the standard of living for all Americans/Japanese/Chinese. Of course, I am speaking on general terms and not EVERY single circumstance.

To make statements like "it's all about greed" or "it's all about oil" is over-simplifying the situation and quite frankly, shows some level of ignorance.
