First - I was being sarcastic (I know who Alex is)

Second - I'm dead to Alex. He may even have me blocked for my comments about another user's reputation. The user I made comments about is a very nice guy, but most of his reputation points come from generic positive reinforcement and that monster of a pointless thread in the steam vent. It's not that I care about the reputation system, I was merely pointing out its obvious flaws. I guess that Alex and other's take the reputation thing a bit more seriously than I do. Therefore they, or Alex specifically, are upset with me and have chosen to ignore my very presense for otherwise childish reasons.

I can understand that not everyone wants to be friends with Seth=L, but give me a break with the reputation garbage.

Alex will probably avoid this thread like I avoid Buckeyenut threads.

You could give me some credit.

Your disdain for me may have been long suppressed and my comments regarding a user's reputation points versus their general knowledge may have added fuel to the fire. I'm not entirely sure what I could have done prior to those comments that you found abrasive. I never said that he wasn't helpful, a great guy, and an asset to the forum. I merely used him as an example that the reputation value does not reflect knowledge. If you can't accept that, so be it. We don't have to have exchanges. I'm only disappointed that we won't because I do find many of your posts entertaining, helpful and/or humorous.

For what it's worth, I've been waiting for an opportunity to discuss our differences for some time. I may not have chosen the best time since you are currently feeling sarcastic. I'll see how it goes should it play out.

The sarcasm has to do with you claiming that the rep system is important to me. I know it's not important. I do give you credit for having extensive product knowledge and and generally being interested in things that count with audio and being against snake oil. Thanks for pointing out that my rep rank doesn't reflect my knowledge because it was going to my head. I was starting to think that I knew more than everybody here like PENG, Gene, MDS, TLS, Swerd, BMXTRIX, bandphan, Major Loser ... (I could go on)

You see, that's just it. I wasn't making an evaluation of Adam. I was making an evaluation of the reputation system. You mistook my intent and meaning. Unless there is anything else I've done that's been abrasive to you or friends of yours, then you are right and there is nothing else to discuss.

Adam can speak for himself if he wants to when he gets out of jail.
