Is this package worth the money?

I found this package a guy selling in 8/10 condition for $150 and will probably be picking it up tomorrow. Now I'm a student and can't afford anything more than this.

2 Polk Front Channels: LS50 Oak
2 Polk Rear Channels: M5 BLK
1 Polk Center: CS250
1 Polk Subwoofer: PSW100

is it worth the money and will it produce a decent sound for that price?

That is a very low price. It is hard to even find a decent pair of speakers that cheap. If it sounds good to you, then yes it is worth it.

Compare it to what else is available for that price and you tell us.

For that price it's really gonna have to suck to not be worth it.

Looks like a very good deal for that amount. Congrats. Let us know how much you like them when you get them home.

For that price, if they are in any sort of decent condition, jump on it. If you don't like it, part it out on ebay then use those funds as the starting point for something better.

Given folks are selling just a pair of LS50s on craigslist for $400-500, I'd say you're getting a good deal.

I think you'd have difficulty getting a single good bookshelf for $150, let along 5 speakers and a sub.

Yup, amazing price. The sub alone is probably worth $150, maybe more.

wow listen to this, i make a deal with the guy to come tomorrow and pick up the package, and he just emails me saying that someone came in with cash and picked up the speakers. That is totally unfair

Did you find this on craigslist? If not, I totally feel your pain either way. Just a couple of weeks ago some guy was GIVING AWAY a pair of BIG floorstanding speakers with at least a 12" woofer and two horns (I don't know what they were, but they looked like they were at least decent quality). I called him just under half an hour after he posted it, and he told me someone was on the way to pick them up. ^$*&#!

yeh craiglist is the way to go. but still i just cant believe what he did.
