Is this magic bean thing worth it?

I just stumbled across this Magic Beans Calibration addition to Dirac Live. To be honest it seemed kind of corny with a dude waving a mic in front of every single speaker. I'm assuming it's basically a form of active room treatment.
Anyway, does it work? It is very expensive. About as expensive as DL.

DL is a useful tool to be sure. It’s unclear to me that you need anything else on top of that, assuming the rest of the system is up to snuff.
