- Purchased new in 2011-Oct from Canada Computers in Ottawa for $800.
- These speakers are in excellent condition with no blemishes.
- I am selling these speakers because I have another complete 5.1 system.
Note: Some A/V receivers will not drive a 6 ohm load. I own an Onkyo model that will.

Note from poster: Does anyone know if this is a good brand? Gibby's electronics is selling this system brand new for 399$ without the sub. Is this a good starter system? And i dont understand what a 6 ohm load is. I have a denon s700w, does that drive a 6 ohm load?

Thank you guys

It's probably better than anything else you could get for that price. The sub won't be the last word in bass authority but will still half fill out the bottom end. It will probably be better for music than movies with a lot of explosions.

I had a pair of Jamo speakers from one line up, they were pretty respectable. My guess is these will be pretty good for a starter system.

The ohm rating on speakers is complicated and marketing driven. Impedance is different at every frequency. I don't remember the math but a fair rating should be related to the minimum impedance. My Paradigms are marketed as "8-ohm compatible" but they should probably be called 4-ohm speakers. I don't have any problem driving them. Your Onkyo should be fine driving them.
