The whole cable debate just blows my mind. I followed the link to the dissection of the expensive power cord. What the guy found didn't surprise me in the least. What did surprise me was in the comments section. Half the responses were saying that, "gosh, that is a cheaply made cord........thank God I have brand x that costs $$$ and Does really make a difference."
My audio mentors were two brothers.........both their systems sounded excellent. But when the one spent $1200 APIECE for a pair of nos Western Electric 300b tubes and claimed the difference from the old tubes was stunning..........and then the other was stringing 26gauge silver wire between ceramic insulators for speaker wire and claiming a huge difference in sound..............I started reading up on the cable debate and found solid engineering and science behind the objectivist camp............funny thing was one of the brother's had a PhD............
