Guess I should have 'splained further; I've got that level of enthusiast calibration and I'm wondering if there's a FPTV equivalent of the DisplayMate that works on RPTV, CRT, LCD panel and other "one-piece" displays.

Video calibration software you hook to a PC and put a device on the front of your display.
